Wildfire: Let it burn or aggressively fight it? Who's in charge?
Hybrid Badger Forum Wednesday May 13, Noon
Our last two Badger Forums have focused on the region's ability to meet growing demand for electricity, followed by a look at how our water resources are managed. In both forums we wanted to know the dimensions of the need, if the resource was available, how much it would cost, and who pays the bill. Each discussion came down to how we manage limited resources that we want more of and how best to share.
Now, we turn our attention to an equally important feature of life in the Pacific Northwest: Wildfire. The central question about wildfire might be, "When should we let it burn, when do we aggressively suppress it, and who decides? By what criteria?" And, of course, at what cost?
Our panel of experts will answer those questions from different points of view during our hybrid Badger Forum on Wednesday, May 13. There is no charge for Badger Forums in 2026. VISIT OUR REGISTRATION PAGE
